Database Process -  
Requirements The process of creating a custom database can be very complex.  Gathering information from you regarding your needs, goals and overall budget for your project is the initial step in designing your database.
Structure

After assessing your requirements, we develop the basic structure of your database.  This refers to building the tables that will hold your data and establishing the relationships (or links) that ensure the integrity of the information being stored.

Interface Your database's interface is a collection of forms that enable you and your users to navigate the application and complete various tasks that must be performed.  Examples of forms you might find in an asset tracking database would include a main form for adding a new asset, one for adding asset locations and another for entering details of the assets transactions.
Output The next step in the design process is to define the queries and reports that will ultimately provide you with the information you need.  Detailed reports, charts and queries allow you to analyze your data and assist you in making decisions about your company's future.
Testing While we can test the basic functionality of your project, the real test will come from you and your users.  We encourage thorough testing of the database immediately upon delivery.  Using it in a real world situation with live data will enable you to locate any problems with the software right away.
Maintenance Once "debugged", your database should not require any maintenance from us.  The users will maintain the tables and the data they contain.  If after using the database for a while, however, you find that you need features that were not included in the original design (new reports, forms, etc.), we can add them for an additional charge.
